South East
£45K or c.£300 per day.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an engineer with energy management experience, specifically within the pharmaceutical sector, to join a growing business that engineers energy efficient solutions within the industrial sector.

For six months you will be based on site at a pharmaceutical business in South East. You’ll be operating within a pharmaceutical fermentation environment and will work with the operations department, analysing the process to identify energy reduction opportunities. Once opportunities for energy reduction have been identified, the emphasis is that these opportunities need to be engineered and delivered as projects.

We are therefore looking for qualified engineers, ideally with a process or chemical engineering degree, who have experience of operating in an energy management capacity in a process environment.

Specifically we are looking for an energy engineer who has some experience of pharmaceutical fermentation and since the ideal is that you will actually not only be able to identify where opportunities for energy efficiency savings can be made but will engineer and implement the schemes, a background in design and implementing projects would be useful.

As well as the above, applicants should be able to demonstrate an appreciation of utilities, steam, process air and cooling. You should be comfortable working in a client facing role and be prepared to travel.

This Energy Management job is open to someone on a contract or full-time basis.
